Student Beatz's main aim is to promote up-and-coming DJs across the UK’s Universities towns and cities. My mates who would DJ the odd set here and there often would complain about the inconsistency and lack of opportunity. Often university societies who organise events have hundreds of students trying to earn a bit of extra cash, who aren’t particularly interested or invested in their development for the craft of live performance. This sparked the idea of starting Student Beatz, allowing a select few DJs a professional agency whereby we sort the best events and guarantee weekly sets at top Student nights out. We aim to build a community of DJs across the country not only to DJ at your university but afterwards have the experience and knowledge to pursue a music career and we feel there is no better place to do just that.
As well as constant sets and events for you to develop your skills. We would look to build your social media presence. You would feature regularly on our social media which gets Thousands of views weekly. This will help build your name and potential opportunities going forward. We would also look to develop your SoundCloud presence through recordings of live sets and even to develop your first mixes or singles. We will of course promote this and put it in the right places, through a vast list of contacts we have developed over the years within the industry
We believe it’s really important to be open and transparent as this is essential to maintaining that community atmosphere we strive for. Our goals for the future our very simple. Firstly, have talented student DJs playing regularly in universities across the UK. Secondly, become the largest DJ Agency for students in the UK, this means having regular events allocated to our DJs throughout the whole of the UK, so matter what university you study at or where you live you will have the opportunity to become a part of Student Beatz. Lastly, as our community of DJs get through the university system, we want to continue to allow them to perform regular events or even mentor the next up-and-coming generation of Student Beatz DJs.
